CharIn Testival and 6th Conference NORTH AMERICA 2022 (October, 2022)
The CharIN Testival & 6th Conference NORTH AMERICA 2022 took place at Daimler Truck North America Headquarters in Portland, Oregon, USA. The event included the megawatt charging system (MCS) launch, an autonomous charging demonstration, and networking opportunities such as Octoberfest and a networking dinner. In total, about 267 conference participants and 240 Testival participants gathered in person to attend the CharIN Conference and to prove interoperability between a variety of vehicles and charging stations at the Testival. The Testival allows experts to exchange ideas while performing conformance and interoperability testing. Many types of electric vehicles, charging stations, electric control units (ECUs), and communication controllers were involved.
CALSTART’s Alycia Gilde and EPRI’s John Halliwell presented on panels discussing ‘The Future of Charging Reliability’ and ‘Changes in ISO-15118-20 and Plug and Charge Update’ to an audience of industry experts. Pictured below is CALSTART’s Nate Fernandez holding the new MCS charger alongside Alycia during the MCS Launch Event.
